Cathy White KACF Board Member and Executive Director of the Southeast Kansas Community Foundation passed away at 5:15 am this morning.

Cathy truly believed in the mission of KACF and volunteered to take the lead in outreaching to prominent community foundations with an idea of establishing funds at individual CFs earmarked for KACF, her health had to put a stop to Cathy's plans...
Since February, 2012 Cathy White served as the Executive Director for the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas, in Pittsburg, Kansas. The Foundation is home to 119 funds with assets just over 11 million. Cathy came to the Foundation with experience in banking after 14 years with UMB Bank, marketing and sales experience plus, time as an educator in the public sector and at Pittsburg State University. Cathy's fundraising experience came from years serving on non profit boards and working as a development director for KRPS, public radio.
Cathy held a master's degree from Pittsburg State University. When not working she enjoyed traveling throughout the area and to Florida and being with friends. Cathy treasured time spent with her husband, Dennis and their standard poodle, Ben.
