The Emporia Community Foundation (ECF) would like to make you aware of a new grant opportunity through the "What's in Outdoors Fund," a component fund of ECF. The What’s In Outdoors Fund was created to serve those interested in getting youth and families “Outside for a Better Inside!” The fund provides support for various causes, as well as a scholarship to Kansas kids interested in making a career out of environmental education, photography, journalism, communications and conserving our natural resources. This fund is offering a $1,000 scholarship beginning with the 2015-2016 school year to a Kansas high school senior who meets the scholarships criteria. The guidelines and application are located on the ECF website at www.emporiacf.org under the "Grants" tab on the "Scholarships" page. Applications are due by May 1 and are to be send to the ECF office at 527 Commercial, Ste. 501, Emporia, KS 66801.
