View attached document here

Over 200 community foundations of various sizes, location, and developmental trajectory participated in the free zoom Community Foundations Event: “First Look: Connected Community Ecosystems at the Intersection of Philanthropy and Entrepreneurship” supported by Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation , Foundant Technologies, and the Annual National Conference for Growing Community Foundations (hosted by KACF).

We hope the conversation on innovative and impactful community investment strategies will be a catalyst for action at community foundations. We thank the experts from HomeStake, Locus Impact Investing, and SecondMuse who helped lead discussions on how such investments can be done effectively, as well as Brenda Hunt at Battle Creek Community Foundation and Margo Miller with Appalachian Community Fund for sharing their experience. The event was energetically facilitated by Brad Ward, Foundant Technologies.

Our breakout leads have graciously shared their SLIDES so you can learn from the breakout rooms and use them as a conversation starter for your team. The link to the recorded section of the event is here. Password: KACF Let’s keep the energy going for this important work and continue the conversation at the hybrid Annual National Conference for Growing Community Foundations, Wichita, KS and online, October 12-14, 2022
