Region III Peer learning event on professional advisor relationships

October 13, 2011

Location: Prairie Band Casino 12305 150th Road, Mayetta, KS 66509-8815, (785) 966-7777 The Casino (formerly Harrah’s) is approximately 20 minutes north of Topeka off of U.S. Highway 75 just south of Holton.

KACF members in region III are hosting a peer learning event at the Prairie Band Casino on October 13, 2011. Staff members, Board members and the professional advisors are all invited to attend. A social hour will commence at 5 p.m. followed by a buffet dinner and a program on professional advisor relationships. Invitations to participate on the panel have been extended to three panelists representing the professional advisor, the community foundation and the tax attorney communities, respectively. Plenty of time will be allotted to visit with the peers and the panelists to learn more about the essential role that professional advisors play in the growth and notoriety of a community foundation. The event promises to be educational and fun!

As an extra added attraction, all attendees are offered the opportunity to play golf that afternoon on the new Firekeepers course that was just opened this year at the Casino. Professional golfer Notah Begah designed the course and it is a wonderful layout that all golfers will enjoy. Tee times are scheduled for the KACF peer learning group between 11:30 a.m. and noon so that the participants will have plenty of time to make it back across the road to attend the evening program.
